HeadStart International School Phuket is located in Muang Phuket and welcomes students from early years through to A-Levels. The school was founded in 2005, and initial had just 15 students with lessons taught in a small two-storey building in the heart of Phuket City. They moved to their current premises, a purpose-built campus with modern, state-of-the-art classrooms and outstanding sports facilities, in 2015 and now have over 800 students.
The school is accredited by the Cambridge Assessment Board and the Thai Ministry of Education and offers the British curriculum to students. In 2017, the HeadStart International School Phuket was awarded Silver Accreditation Status by EDT, something that they are naturally immensely proud of. All of the teachers are qualified from overseas. Almost all lessons are taught by native English speakers who are ably supported by teaching assistants to ensure that no one falls behind and fulfils their potential. The school has a proven track record of academic success, with several students going on to study at top universities in the UK.
Like many international schools in Thailand, HeadStart offer students a comprehensive range of out of school activities, including the Duke of Edinburgh Awards Scheme and an English Weekend School to help students for whom English isn’t their first language. The school believes in developing self-confidence a providing a platform that will enable pupils to achieve their potential and become leaders of the future.
HeadStart International School Phuket has a reputation for challenging students but in a positive and friendly manner, which is recognised and appreciated by parents and students alike.
