The Berda Claude International School (BCIS Phuket) is situated in Chalong, on the east-central side of Phuket. The school has both a junior and senior campus which are located just 200 metres apart. BCIS Phuket is one of the most modern on the island, having opened in 2017. It is the only school that offers two different curricula: the British Cambridge and French programs. Both are accredited to their respective bodies in the UK and France, as well as the Thai Ministry of Education.
BCIS Phuket accepts students from pre-school (18 months) to 18 years old, and the ultra-modern campus is purpose-built to provide an excellent standard of education with state-of-the-art classrooms and facilities. The school employs highly qualified teachers who are all native speakers and are supported admirably by local teaching assistants. BCIS believes that involving parents in all aspects of school life helps cultivate a culture of high achievements while also understanding other cultures and beliefs.
Although the focus is understandably on academia, even its infancy has already gained a reputation for excellence; the school aims to produce well-rounded individuals. Students are encouraged to ask questions and develop a positive mindset where they aren’t afraid to offer their opinions and stand up for things they believe in. The school offers an extensive range of extracurricular activities, especially concerning sports.
Several students have gone on to some of the best universities in the UK, France and, of course, Thailand, as well as the rest of the world. Although the school targets British and French students, all nationalities are welcome.
